During this animated video, students will be able to learn about Gregor Mendel’s renowned two-trait breeding experiment with pea plants and how the success of this experiment led to the field of genetics. Students will also study the Punnett square, Mendel’s law of inheritance, law of independent assortment and the occurrence independent assortment in the process of meiosis. During the animation, students will also be able to try an activity that allows one to predict the phenotypic ratio from the genotypic rations given from a dihybrid cross.
