“Hubble: A Lunar Prospecting Machine ” explains how scientists used the Hubble Space Telescope to figure out which minerals are found in the surface of Earth’s moon. Scientists know how to produce oxygen gas from certain minerals. Future missions to the moon could be made easier if people could make their own oxygen gas on the moon’s surface. An accompanying educator’s guide includes discussion questions and answers as well as definitions for key terms.
