Magnetism can be used to produce electricity. Nearly any electrical device that produces motion uses a motor. Any device that is plugged into a wall outlet draws power from a generator. In this activity, students will manipulate simulated magnets, compasses, and coils to see how magnetic fields interact with electric currents. The accompanying simulation can be found here: https://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulation/faraday
