This set of four activities focuses on the study of Washington Irving’s short story, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” Students are asked to compare and contrast the original story with a modern version of the tale. Other activities include rewriting the story using contemporary language, studying the main characters Ichabod Crane and Brom Bones, and speculating about the fate of Ichabod Crane.
