In this assessment aligned for tenth graders, students will read the article “Nowhere to Go” by Kathiann M. Kowalski. It includes one article, eleven text-dependent questions (including one optional constructed-response prompt for students), and explanatory information for teachers regarding alignment to the CCSS. Students will learn about nuclear power plants, and the questions will help students focus on certain aspects of the article and help them hone their comprehensive reading skills.
