This site provides information on the fossil record and how fossils are formed and discovered. An animation on how a dinosaur becomes buried once it dies, how it becomes a fossil and how the remains are resurfaced is provided. During the Getting Into the Fossil Record tour, one can click on the bold faced words to learn the definition of the term. A slide show with actual photos of articulated body fossils and trace fossils are present on this site. Once an individual completes the tour, a quiz is provided to test over the information supplied during the tour.
